Staying Healthy doesn't start at the gym. Nor your pilates class. It starts at the market-- where you decide what goes in your fridge and pantry.
For this last week, I decided to write this LIST:
-vegetables for cooking
-almond milk
-oatmeal
-LOTS of fruits and such
- chicken
-greek yogurt
Why is it good to write a list?
1) you remember stuff.
2) Your distraction level lowers...so you don't get distracted by other things that just lead to unnecessary buying. Once one thing is checked off, you want to get all of them done fast.
Think it like this:
Whatever (food) goes into my cart, goes in my tummy...*cough cough* GYM! Do you really want to run that extra 2 miles?
So if you are craving that ice cream, but you know that's gonna do no good, then just put it down. Well, actually, it depends on your point of view:
Enjoying junk food (less than/greater than) Extra hour of workout
Just circle the one and think about it haha
So try thinking about your diet and workout at the market.
I know you see that pie...but do you really want it? Is it worth another 2 miles?
*p.S. If your craving chocolate...try dark chocolate or 3 musketeers
If your craving some sweet...then try honey in something or natural sweetness...like pineapples, mangoes, grapes, ...etc.
I know this was cheesy and all...but seriously, make sure whatever you put in your cart won't ruin your workout plans haha!
