One egg is all you need!
Here's a personal story: So this last week, I had puffy skin right under my eyes (not puffy eyes) though. And so, I used many things...but none of them worked. The puffy and noticeably red would just come back.
And so, I was using different masks, and then I pondered over this egg mask facial in a website.
I used this, just once, and for the whole day, my skin was normal --- no puffiness or redness!
I was amazed by it's effectiveness, and couldn't believe that one egg could do this much wonders.
What is it famous for?
This DIY facial mask is super effective for puffiness (helps tighten the skin) and maybe even some wrinkles.
How should I prepare it?
Just crack one egg, and some say to separate the yolk and the whites, but I just combined them together. But you can definitely separate them if you'd like.
Why does this work?
The whites help tighten the skin (great for puffiness), they also exfoliate gently. The yolk helps moisturize and soothe the skin. The whites are also great for wrinkles or fine lines to help tighten the skin again.
How long should I leave it?
About 15-30 minutes
How much should I apply the mask?
People say that you shouldn't do it more than once a week. But since I'm still fighting my puffy skin under my eye, I do it daily, to ensure that my skin will be normal for the rest of the day.
However, if your just thinking about applying this mask...and your skin is fine, (no puffiness) then I suggest you do this only once a week.
Will it irrate my skin?
I have the most sensitive skin on Earth probably (my skin gets puffy even for a little wind), and it didn't irrate my skin at all.
However, everyone has different skin, so if you did notice some blemishes, acne, puffiness, or things like that, be sure to cleanse well right after, by your favorite cleanser, and proceed to your normal facial routine.
If you do decide to separate the whites and the yolk, then use the whites for a facial mask, and then moisturize afterwards with the yolk. The whites and yolk are almost completely different. The whites help tighten your skin, but leave your skin very dry; but the yolk is gentle and helps tremendously moisturize and hydrate the skin.
Even after the yolk, be sure to moisturize immensely with your favorite moisturizer.
I hope this helps your skin! And hopefully this will give you that "ME TIME" as well! (btw, the egg mask won't be dark green, like in the picture above haha)
Get some candles out, some soothing music, get in your bathtub, put a facial mask on....and relax. There's your perfect Spa...at home
