How to wash your face...the right way

Another how to, huh?

Anyways, this is probably the best method (that works for me) that I've learned to clean my face. This will actually make sure that you get all the makeup, dirt, and oils off your face after a long day.

I definetly wanna give a huge thanks to a skin care clerk at the mall. I was just looking at some products, when she came over and we got in a discussion...and she shared this way to clean your face. So thanks to her :)

Basically,  You're going to cleanse your face two times.

So first, take the normal amount of cleanser/scrub you normally take and cut it in half. Then just cleanse your skin normally. This first cleanse will take the makeup, oil...etc., just off the surface. Then just rinse.

Then again, take a bit of your cleanser and cleanse/exfoliate your skin again. THIS cleanse will actually get in your pores to actually get dirt and oil out of it...scrubbing away dead skin cells, and revealing beautiful, glowing skin. And then just rinse, and continue with your normal procedure.

This method will also improve the effectiveness of your cleanser :) More bang for your buck :)

And like I said, just try taking your normal amount of product, and use half of it for the first cleanse, and the other for the second cleanse. This will make sure you don't run out of cleanser too fast :)

hope this helps, and take care :)

A list. Of what YOUR skin care routine should look like

Skin caree!
Unless your under 14ish, then I can see why you wouldn't care too much about your skin. But, personally I think that EVERY age group has worries about their skin. When your in your teens and 20s your worrying about acne, discoloration, and all that stuff. Then when you hit your 30s and 40s your worry about aging and wrinkles.

But it's never too early to start!
Having radiant, healthy skin is super easy......Naturally.
When I say "Naturally" What does that ACTUALLY mean?
It means that we use HOMEMADE stuff (maybe except our moisturizers and our sunscreen). But that's it. Meaning we make our cleansers, scrubs, etc. from natural ingredients.

And so, this is what your skin care routine should look like:

-Cleanser 2x a day
-Exfoliate (1-2 times a week)
-Steam (1-2 times a week)
-Moisturizer and sunscreen (after EVERY cleanse and exfoliate. and if it's day time sunscreen)
-toner (if you use makeup)

This is what my skin care routine looks like (and EVERY thing I use) ...and I don't use makeup (this was suggested by Mary) . :

-Homemade recipe (found in skin care) of the flour, yogurt, lemon juice, milk, turmeric..
-Moisturizer - Eucerin PLUS intensive repair enriched lotion
-Sunscreen - Water Babies SPF 50 by Coppertone (I buy a travel size ones...their about a dollar at meijers or walmart) and it's waterproof
-Exfoliate - with the lemon and sugar recipe (also found in skin care tab)
-Steam
-Coconut Oil

AM routine:

-Cleanse with my flour yogurt cleanser
-moisturize with eucerin
-put Water babies sunscreen on
-rub some baby powder (or talcum powder) same thing to make it look less oily

PM routine:

-Cleanse with my flour yogurt cleanser
-moisturize with eucerin ORRR on some days I feel like it, I put COCONUT OIL and go to sleep

And some special days:

-I treat myself to a facial mask

ON SATURDAYS (PM routine):

-STEAM. (will be explained below)
-Exfoliate with lemon sugar
-moisturize (usually with eucerin)

Okay. So what is STEAM? Steam is pretty much a sauna...only for your gorgeous face.
It's a really simple process actually. This is what you'll need:

-HOT water
-salt (optional)
-microwave or something to get it kind of boiling
-large bowl
-towel

So in your bowl run some hot water in from the tap. Usually the steam doesn't last. So take it to the microwave and put it on for 10-30 sec. It should be boiling. Sprinkle in some salt if you'd like. Now take the bowl to a table. Put it on a table and hold the towel over your head. Now just pretty much get the steam to touch your face gently (so not too close) and do it for about the time when there's no more left.

Steaming helps to open your pores more effectively and it feels amazing too!

^^ STEAMING! :-)

Now you wanna EXFOLIATE. You can use whatever you like, the lemon sugar, or maybe your own. Sometimes when I'm "on the go" and I dunno where to find lemon and sugar, I scrub my skin with Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream. And since, I only use it on rare occasions (when I'm on the go) I have a travel size one that I got at MEIJERS for about $2.

And as always, after exfoliating, moisturize.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLEANSIN' AND EXFOLIAITIN' ? :O

Cleansing is suppose to be much gentler. All it does is just clean all that dirt that has been sitting on your beautiful face. And exfoliating is suppose to go in much more deep, into your pores and deep cleansing them, and removing dead skin cells; revealing much more radiant and glowing skin.

^^ My ALTERNATIVE (emergency) scrub

^^^ my sunscreen (it's in travel size so it fits in my purse/backpack easily)

^^^ My moisturizer

^^ random talcum powder OR you can use baby powder : ------------------------->

Well, yeah. Every person's skin is different, so no one's skin care routine will be exactly the same. I also LOVE to experiment with different products (even though it makes me breakout ha ha ha) but occasionally, when I do, I'll write a review or something.

Bye!

Cheerio! (As the say in London)

baby powder and flour love :-)
