Olive Oil and Honey Facial Mask

There's no time like having a great magazine, your robe on; and an amazing DIY facial mask on.

What you need:

-Extra Virgin Olive Oil (regular olive oil isn't as good for your skin)
-Honey

Why these ingredients?

Olive Oil- Be sure to use extra virgin olive oil, because it's much better for your skin. Extra Virgin olive oil won't clog your pores, and it will moisturize intensively your skin.

Honey- Honey has natural antibacterial properties; and it really moisturizes skin veryyyy well.

This mask is great for dry skin!

-Splash some warm water on your face to open up your pores
-Apply the mask all over; and leave on for 15-30 minutes
-Rinse off with cold water to close pores

I hope this helps you guys!
Have a great day!

The BEST products of N.Y.C.

I kind of did a haul of NYC products recently; and I found some products that I surprisingly LOVED!

Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup(foundation) :

(6 shades total)

This foundation has really good coverage, and it's very bendable. A nice lightweight coverage, that covers your regular, minor imperfections.

Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder:

This is a great bronzing powder. Everyone's skin tone changes throughout the year; so why not your bronzer? Now you can wear bronzing powder all year long! This is a great, basic, everyday powder that is a great addition to your makeup bag.

City Duet Eye Shadow:

(There are 5 "duets")

These colors are amazing; they are so rich pigmentation. These are true to their colors, and they are brilliant, and exciting .... to add more color to your day(:

Blushable Creme Sticks:

These remind me of the NARS creme sticks. These are the best creme blushes! They are so easy and quick to apply, and they look gorgeous! Even though there's only 6 shades; they look beautiful on any skin tone.

Kiss Gloss:

(there are 10 colors/shades)

For only $2.99; you can't beat this. This is beautiful color, and the perfect definition of a lip gloss. The shades are a good variety, so everyone's favorite color is matched.

In a New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish:

Beautiful colors, gorgeous applications, great price, and lasts for a good time. What more can you ask? These are amazing nail polishes...that don't break the bank!

Yay! I got something from each category!

But yeah, there you go! I hope this helps you guys!

How to get makeup to look "dewy"

We have all seen models and celebrities always with flawless makeup, and having that really beautiful "dewy" beautiful glow to them. So how exactly do you achieve that look?

1) Apply a moisturizer before you start. This will help seal in moisture, and prevent any dry skin from seeing through.

2) Apply your makeup as normal.

3) When you are setting your makeup with setting powder (your finishing touch), be sure to not overuse. Use just a very light coat, and don't powder over your cheeks. This will leave your cheeks moisturized and dewy.

4) If your dewy cheeks are still not achieved, then take some of your moisturizer, and lightly pat it on your cheeks.

And that's it! I hope this helps you guys!

How to make your makeup last longer

Tired of your makeup smearing, smudging, or sweating off?
Well, no worries, anymore: Here are some tips to prevent makeup meltdown and make your makeup last much longer:

PRIMER:

Your primer is the key to getting long lasting makeup.

What is a primer first off:

It does 3 main things...

a) It gives you a flawless canvas
b) helps create a barrier between skin and makeup (not letting it sink in)
c) your makeup will stay on MUCH, MUCH longer

If you have fine lines and wrinkles that you don't want to be seen; then try a primer with silicone, which is going to fill in those fine lines and wrinkles, so your foundation and other makeup don't cake on and make them apparent.

Try investing in a good primer, because a primer really helps you out. And remember, you really don't need a lot. A little goes a longgg way.

Some cheap ones: Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer
High end: Urban Decay Primer Potion

Then apply all your normal makeup (foundation, concealer...etc.)

SETTING POWDER:

This is also a CRUCIAL step in making your makeup last longer. (Remember, when you use a liquid/cream substance, you always have to lock it in with powder). You can use regular face powder (adds more coverage) or use translucent powder (won't alter/mess with your makeup)

So just apply a nice, light coat of setting powder...and off you go!

I hope this helps you guys!
Have an amazing day!

How to hide a blemish/zit

OH SNAP! just woke up, and found a zit the size of mt. everest on my face. If you are also in this horrible situation right now, here are some steps to camouflaging and hiding the blemish/zit.

BUT: HERE IS A DIY NATURAL ZIT ZAPPER:
http://tsorain.blogspot.com/2011/03/diy-natural-zit-zapper.html

^^ all ingredients are basic..and from your kitchen :)

What you need:

-Concealer (make sure it is a little bit more yellower than your skin tone)
-Powder

The reason why you want your concealer to be a little yellower, is because the yellow is going to cancel out the redness from the blemish or zit.

Some good drugstore concealers:

Maybelline dream mousse
Hard Candy Camouflage
Revlon Color Stay

Good High ends ones:

Laura Mercier
Bobbi Brown

Make sure you do this AFTER foundation, etc. :

1) Clean your hands. I know it's an extra step, but it's worth it. Adding more bacteria doesn't help it any.

2) Take some concealer on your fingers and tap it an ALL ANGLES of the blemish/zit. The blemishes and zits are 3D, so you have to make sure to get all sides and areas.

3) Powder. You have to lock in any cream substance (like concealer) so you don't smudge, sweat, or smear it off. This will make sure that the concealer stays on.

And that's all! I hope this "tip" helped you guys!
Have an awesome day!

Vaseline Face Mask

The last week has been nothing but amazing. We visited some friends, spent a couple nights there; and toured their city...and LOVED it!

(btw Chicago is freaking amazing!)

I got home, and I realized how dull my skin looked. It was horrible! After all the time I had fun, and having a blast, I completely forgot about cleansing and moisturizing my skin.

If you've had a similar problem, or you want to do this, just for the heck of it...then grab some..............................VASELINE!

There are TWO main things that Vaseline does that isn't found in many other expensive lotions/creams.

1) It keeps the entire world out.

When you wake up after putting vaseline on your face, you notice that their seems to be some dirt and things on your skin. The vaseline was kind of a "barrier" and kept that out....that would have otherwise just sink into your skin.

2) It moisturizes/heals at the source.

It moisturizes intensively.. I have super dry skin right under my eyes; and I always use Vaseline to keep it out. After using it for a couple of times regularly,....MUCH MUCH less dry skin! (close to none!)

So stop using those expensive creams to "moisturize" and just grab the nearest bottle of Vaseline and slather it on your face.... BUT...

but, be sure that Vaseline is not going to break you out. Try doing a "patch test", which means try putting Vaseline on a little part of your face, and see if it breaks you out. If it doesn't, then continue on.

If you have oily skin...this might be for you!

So yeah, try it out! I hope this helps you guys! have an amazing day!

Review: Suave Creamy Apricot Orange Blossom Body Wash

I've used this product for about a week now(:

What?

The Suave Creamy Apricot Orange Blossom Body Wash - about $2

Recommended?

Yes! I was actually really surprised at this! It actually really is creamy, and a little on the loofah goes a long way. It has an amazing, energetic smell to it...which will immediately cheer you up, and who knows? Maybe you'll even start dancing!

Pros?

-cheap
-nice smell...energizes!
-exfoliating

Cons?

It doesn't exfoliate has well as a REAL body scrub...so it's not really the complete package. It does exfoliate (it has exfoliating beads), however they don't show/feel like an immediate result right after. But I mean hey, I guess for a body wash, it's pretty good

Where can I get it?

I got mine at Walmart, MAYBE drugstores and other places. It was about $2

Any other dish?

Okay, so on the back, it says that it is just as good as Bath and Body Works Creamy Coconut Shower Gel. Now, I have never tried that scent before, so I'm not very sure that I can judge on that...

And that's it! Hope you guys have a gorgeous day!
