DIY EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

You don't need any fancy pants 'eye makeup remover stuff' to get the toughest smokey eye wiped off. In fact, these methods are so simple, so cheap...that you only need ONE INGREDIENT. (There are 2 DIY eye makeup removers btw)

-VASELINE

Just apply some vaseline all over your eyelid (or wherever your eye makeup is), take a tissue or cotton cloth and simply wipe. If you see that there is still something there, repeat.

Another method/way:

-OLIVE OIL

Try using Extra Virgin Olive Oil...because it is said to be a little better than the normal kind.

-Just smear/apply some olive oil to your eyemakeup. Take a cotton cloth, and just wipe off. And if there is still more, than just repeat :)

Yuup, so yeah, hope this helps,
and take care :)

Quick Gift Idea!

Got a skin care frenzy person you know? And maybe...you're just going to their home, and you don't know what to get them?

Well...here's an idea!

Try making a sugar scrub!

Our family friends, yesterday, came to our home yesterday, and gifted us with a olive oil and brown sugar scrub.

At first, we are amazed, and we thought they had probably gotten it from this fancy pants store, and the scrub must have cost more than $20.

But then, they spilled, and told us that it was completely homemade, and all they did was just put it in a simple jar. We were so amazed...it seriously looked like a million bucks!

And then, when we actually tried it, it was pretty much the same thing as the olive oil scrub (that I keep talking about) and it also did leave my skin soft and silky.

So here is the super super easy, in a minute flash gift...that you can easily make under $5!

Here's what you need:

-Olive oil
-Sugar (brown or regular)
-Jar (you can even get one from the dollar tree)
-Ribbon
-Optional: a tag

-First simply make the scrub. Mix the olive oil and sugar together, and remember to make it not to runny or not too hard.

-Just pour the scrub in the jar (or you can just stir/make it in the jar)

-Make sure the scrub is neat and settled.

-Then just take the ribbon and put it in a bow over the lid.

-If you want, you can punch a hole in the ribbon, punch a hole in the tag, put a ribbon over your tag; and then apply the tag on the lid's ribbon.

This is the easiest gift you can make...under 5 minutes, and under $5!

And there you go! I know for fact, that is this one of the things that I'll be making for my mom on Mother's Day!

okie, byee!

(ooh I love pampering!)

Summer Time Skin Routine!

Where I live, there's no more snow, and it's always about 60-70 degrees during the afternoon. Summer is also the time where my skin gets more irritated (UGH!) and where a struggle to keep skin cool happens.

Well, I checked out some skin care things around the web, and I put together a grand finale piece that has been doing me good.... :

MORNING:

This is one of the weirdest cleansers, but it works amazingly...

If the link doesn't work, go to the 'skin care' tab and scroll down to the very last

EVENING:

This is when I come home from school.

Use OLIVE OIL to take off my makeup ( just take a cotton ball, with some drops of olive oil, and apply it on your face in circular motions)

Rub CUCUMBERS on my face real quick, just to cool down and reduce any puffiness

Put PLAIN YOGURT on my face for about 10-15 minutes, and then rinse it off. (to keep the skin supple and cool everyday). I use a new art brush to apply the yogurt on my face, since it can carefully reach in places my hands can't..

Moisturize with Olive Oil, Coconut oil, or Eucerin. And then lock it in with petroleum jelly, so my skin doesn't become dehydrated.

It sounds (kinda) like a complicated routine, but it's really quite simple. I use sunscreen before I put on my primer, even though my foundation has SPF.

I can't live without: My everyday yogurt mask.
Without that, my skin would be all puffy and red all over...

I hope this helps some of you guys with summer, and it's skin time. I personally, have found out, that I get better skin with natural skin care. If YOU have any cool techniques or homemade recipes/ideas PLEASE email them to tsorain@gmail.com

I'll post it on here!

DIY HAIR MASK!

Every month we usually get a facial mask to revive our skin...make it fresh, glowing .. and healthy!
So let's do the same for our hair!

This is a DIY HAIR MASK, right at home...right in your kitchen!

The secret ingredients to gorgeous hair!?

-olive oil
-honey!

Olive oil really truly is wonderful for your hair. It nourishes your hair, and if your hair is dry, you will have amazing hair! Even if you have really oily hair, olive oil will still do good for your hair, because it adds in nourishing and rejuvenatory powers!

And honey is good because it has antixodiants to help keep your hair healthy and strong!

-Make a paste of these ingredients

-Apply it all over, root to ends, on your DRY hair

-Pull your hair into a ponytail, or if you have short hair, then just leave it like that

-Put a beanie over your head

-Go to sleep

-And in the morning, take it off and SHAMPOO your hair THOROUGHLY !!!
(if you don't shampoo it...your hair will look wet and oily all day! ...trust me I know!)

-And continue with your normal styling/washing routine

Do this once every month to give your hair natural goodness!

Hope this helps!

Tell me how to combat dry skin...

I have had dry skin forever!
I have super sensitive skin as well :/

Do you?

If you said yes...then keep on reading.
If you said no, check out this DIY body scrub: http://tsorain.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-body-scrub.html

Okay, so here are some things I use ... :

-Eucerin Plus Intensive Moisturizer
-Dove Beauty Bar (White)
-Jergens ultra healing lotion
-Pure and Gentle wipes
-Petroleum Jelly
-My DIY body scrub of olive oil & sugar, check it out: http://tsorain.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-body-scrub.html

I use all these things here and there, but on a good pampered day, this is what I do:

-First, I try to cleanse well with the Dove Beauty Bar

-Then, take a good load of time to rub my whole skin with the DIY scrub

-I get out of the shower, and on my body, I slather on the Jergens Ultra Healing lotion

-On my face, the Eucerin

-Then I allow everything to soak in just a little bit, and then I apply petroleum jelly all over, to lock all that moisture, so my skin will stay soft for about 3 days!

But there is a NUMBER ONE secret to combating dry skin...:

Olive Oil.

Olive oil was used by the Ancient Romans and Greeks, and many more. They would use it has a cleanser, face mask, face moisturizer, hair mask, and even conditioner. Cleopatra used to bathe in olive oil 3 times a day to keep her skin supple and healthy.

Sometimes, instead of putting on Eucerin and Jergens, I just slather Extra Virgin olive oil all over my body. It leaves my skin amazingly smooth...for about 2 days! I also sometimes put in petroleum jelly to lock it in.

I used to use Pure Olive Oil, but then I realized that Extra Virgin olive oil has better properties and is better, so I started using that. So, try using Extra Virgin, because it is not refined, it's completely the TRUE pure. But if you can't, regular olive oil is fine also.

I hope this helps you guys!
Try experimenting with different things, but be careful also!

Olive oil, yogurt, honey, and sugar facial MASK

MUAHH!

Thanksgiving is coming up! (so Happy Thanksgiving!)
Fall is so beautiful(: And it's so amazing, this year has gone so fast!

For some time, around Halloween, all you would see is Pumpkins!
EVERYWHERE.

Anyways, I'm betting that a lot of people are driving north, south, east and west to get to their families and friends, or for a vacation. Well, you wanna look AMAZING! Right?

Well, I have this awesome facial mask that's gonna prep you and doll you all up for thanksgiving.
I know that a lot of people, hit the gym at this time. Lately, this week, in the gym, I suddenly see so much people!

Everyone wants to get in shape for thanksgiving, so why not have amazing skin too!

So this is what you'll need:

-Olive Oil
-Yogurt (Plain)
-Honey
-Sugar
-dish/container
-something to mix it all

Why use these ingredients:

Olive Oil- I can't tell you how much wonders this does for skin. It's been told that the Ancient Greeks and Romans used to wash their faces with olive oil. And Italian women swear by this amazing natural gift. It has omega 3 fatty acids which are really really really good for your skin and your body.

Yogurt- This has Alpha Hydroxy acids which exfolaite and refine, and refresh your skin. And it tightens it to reveal glowing, smooth skin.

Honey- Honey is wonderfulo for you too. It has so much ....amazing. Enough said. You can search it if you wanna ;) But I promise, it's really good for your skin. It does WONDERS!

Sugar- Sugar exfoliates really well(:

I hate putting parts, telling how many tsp. of this and that, so I just don't do it. Just put mix those ingredients well, and you'll know when it's done or not. I mean it shouldn't run like milk, but like mushy and then liquidy. You'll know:)

Be sure to moisturize right after this, and you can use either a warm washcloth or wipe it off, or just rinse it off. And be sure to use sunscreen!

remember to subscribe!
