DIY Body Scrub

okay, so we're (kinda) back with a brand new DIY project.

I know it's winter, and winter is usually the time where dry skin kicks in, and everything feels just so dehydrated.
But hey, it's almost March, where I'm at, the snow hasn't hit for about 3 weeks now...so that's good.
And before we know it, summer/bikini season AKA "show some skin" season will be started

Sleeveless tops, shorts, skirts, all that stuff....and hey everyone wants a silky finish.

So first off - Stay HYDRATED! Drink atleast 8 glasses per day!

2) Don't take baths! Take quick WARM showers. And if you do want to do for a bath, then drop some moisturizing bath beads or bath oils to moisturize your skin.

3) Keep your lotion right beside your soap/body wash. Even before you grab your towel, stop and moisturize all over your body. It will definitely will slippery, but it will lock in moisture!

4) Use petroleum jelly. This is the most, silliest idea ever. But I use this on my face, too. Cleanse, moisturize and put petroleum jelly to lock in all that moisture. (of course, this is completely optional...but it truly leaves skin soft and hydrated) Try to use a little bit at first, so it doesn't make you break out or make your skin irritated.

Now...it's really important to determine what your using to scrub.

There's TONS of scrubs out there! From St.Ives, neutrogena, bath and body works, the body shop and the higher ends....you have to determine which works for you.

But there's one in your kitchen, that will also do you WONDERS!

What you need:
-Olive Oil
-Sugar (brown or regular...doesn't matter)

Mix these guys together and there you have a good scrub. Now you can use it everyday, every week...whatever to get your beautiful silky skin.

Why this works:

Olive Oil- Is a main ingredient in tons of scrubs out there in the market. It's known for it's moisturizing properties and cleansing and softening properties.

Sugar- Probably the best, basic ingredient for amazing exfoliation!

I store it in a PONDS lotion bottle...I'm all out, and it's perfect for that. And it's right next to my soap!

Allright guys, that was it for today. I hope this works for you guys, right in time for summer!
