DIY: Make your own lip color

I love trying out different lip colors! I think it's safe to say that every girl has experimented with different lip colors.
And I hate it when you REALLY want to try out a lip color, and you pretty much spend all your allowance on it, and BAM! You discover the color just. doesn't. work. for you.
And I hate that feeling!

Personally, I hate returning makeup, or anything that I have put on my face or things. I know you can return them, but I just never bother to. So I'm stuck with the thing.

Well, my friend came over last Saturday for a sleepover and some scary movies, and we did makeup and all that crazy jazz. Well, we were experimenting, when we found out that we could make our own LIP COLOR!!

What you'll need:

-Vaseline/ Petroleum Jelly
-Plastic Spoon
-Dish/something to mix it on
-super small container (I used a VICKS container to store it in)
-Some kind of pigment ...eyeshadow, other lip sticks...anything (will explain below)

Pigment: Since we need to make the lip color, you need to take out some pigment you have. Eyeshadow, other lip sticks that you haven't ever used, ..anything. However, if you use eyeshadow, which usually come in varieties you have a more..diverse selection to choose from.
And if you have a super dark lipstick or something, you can lighten it this way to make it the color you like.

So, we used some old eyeshadow (make sure it's not expired)

-Squirt some of the petroleum jelly out, about a nickel size

-Mix in the pigment to the point where you like the color, you can mix with a brush, your fingers, or spoon

-Take your spoon and scoop it all up and store it in the container

<<>

And WALA! Your done! You can create nude colors, pink, peach, red...w/e you like!

Here's a little chart so maybe you get an idea of what color you wanna experiment:

I hope that you guys have fun!

P.S. This is safe for your lips! Ha ha ha ! ! And plus, all your regular lip sticks/gloss/stains already have pigments, just the same ole thing, except at home!

Olive oil, yogurt, honey, and sugar facial MASK

MUAHH!

Thanksgiving is coming up! (so Happy Thanksgiving!)
Fall is so beautiful(: And it's so amazing, this year has gone so fast!

For some time, around Halloween, all you would see is Pumpkins!
EVERYWHERE.

Anyways, I'm betting that a lot of people are driving north, south, east and west to get to their families and friends, or for a vacation. Well, you wanna look AMAZING! Right?

Well, I have this awesome facial mask that's gonna prep you and doll you all up for thanksgiving.
I know that a lot of people, hit the gym at this time. Lately, this week, in the gym, I suddenly see so much people!

Everyone wants to get in shape for thanksgiving, so why not have amazing skin too!

So this is what you'll need:

-Olive Oil
-Yogurt (Plain)
-Honey
-Sugar
-dish/container
-something to mix it all

Why use these ingredients:

Olive Oil- I can't tell you how much wonders this does for skin. It's been told that the Ancient Greeks and Romans used to wash their faces with olive oil. And Italian women swear by this amazing natural gift. It has omega 3 fatty acids which are really really really good for your skin and your body.

Yogurt- This has Alpha Hydroxy acids which exfolaite and refine, and refresh your skin. And it tightens it to reveal glowing, smooth skin.

Honey- Honey is wonderfulo for you too. It has so much ....amazing. Enough said. You can search it if you wanna ;) But I promise, it's really good for your skin. It does WONDERS!

Sugar- Sugar exfoliates really well(:

I hate putting parts, telling how many tsp. of this and that, so I just don't do it. Just put mix those ingredients well, and you'll know when it's done or not. I mean it shouldn't run like milk, but like mushy and then liquidy. You'll know:)

Be sure to moisturize right after this, and you can use either a warm washcloth or wipe it off, or just rinse it off. And be sure to use sunscreen!

remember to subscribe!

TRACK/TREADMILL ESSENTIALS

So I finally got my butt up yesterday and hit the gym where I USED to do like 2 miles without stopping at about 5 mph. But then, for some reason I wasn't feeling it, and I didn't come again, and so now it feels like I have to start over again :/

RUNNING is AMAZING. Enough said.
It's like therapy for me. It's so amazing, it's how your mind and your body, your legs..it's amazing. The feel after you sit down and say "WOW. 2 miles. that's amazing."

Here are some tips from an EXPERIENCED, and FREQUENT runner (and what you'll need to get started):

For ALREADY runners:

-DO NOT stop running. Trust me, I've tried it. And boy it's starting from level one, aka 1 mile all over again. DO NOT stop running. If it's winter/fall, then go to a gym and run there. And in the summer, it doesn't really matter, but try to run outside. BUT with SUNSCREEN(: And if you can't run, then do YOGA, DANCE, JUMP ROPE..etc.

-STEP IT UP. You can't expect to see results if you just run a mile everyday. It's not a challenge for your body. You need to give it surprises. Maybe one day, it'll be a mile, and then the day after that, 3 miles, and then 2 miles...surprise yourself.
Don't let your body get accustomed to it. When your mind is bored, your BODY is bored.

-LISTEN to MUSIC. Listen to UPBEAT, EMINEM songs, songs that are empowering. I LOVE "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem ft. Rhianna. It keeps me in the game, and it makes me feel like I'm powerful and my body can do the last lap.

-SAY IT TO YOURSELF. When your beginning your next lap, say to yourself "Hello Lap Number 5, here we go. You say your tough? Well, baby, I'm tougher." I know, it sounds lame, but just do it. It makes you feel greattt!!!

For BEGINNERS:

(all things that apply to expierened)

-Bring Water
You WILL get thirsty, and your throat will be yucky. Don't let that happen. get in the fluids by having some fine H20...and don't go for the Gatorade, they just have sugar and H2o, fine simple pure water will do amazing for your body.

-A towel
If you sweat excessively, then be sure to bring a towel to soak it all up! Sweating can feel really uncomfortable, and makes you want to stop to dry it off. And once you stop, you don't wanna get back on that track. Believe me. So a towel at hand is a good thing.

-Chew gum
Chew gum ONLY if you promise not to choke on it. I can't do a workout with gum, it keeps my saliva running so I don't get a yucky and dry throat(:

-If your gonna watch TV, then be sure it's on eye level.
If the TV is above your head, and you have to lift your head to watch it...Don't watch it! It's gonna put strain on your neck!

-Listen to Music (above category)

-Put your hair up
Haha trust me! You're not gonna like it if your hair is all over the place!

WHY RUN?

Running is really really really good for your body.
Especially your heart.
Your heart is like your ENGINE to your body.
It's something that makes you want to do the things that you want to do, chasing after your kids, or designing fashion clothing.

So it's worth taking care of.

Treat your body like a temple. (:

What are some amazing alternatives to running?

DANCING, SWIMMING, JUMP ROPE, RECREATION GAMES (AKA. BASKETBALL, SOCCER..ETC.) HULA HOOP, WALKING, YOGA

Don't be fooled! Hula Hoop burns A LOT of calories!

My favorites are Dancing, Walking, and YOGA. I loveee yoga(:
For the days that you just don't wanna hit the gym, and have a nice relaxing day, YOGA is the perfect match.

If you wanna try it out, you should first maybe get some dvds from your public library or something, just to see if you like it or not, before you purchase a dvd.

Well I really hope this helps guys!
Physical Activity is really important in this world!
And remember, treat that beautiful face and body of yours like a temple!!

How to get VOLUME quick

I just yesterday got a haircut and got it layered. The lady that cut it wasn't too good, so she kinda messed it up:/ So now it looks all yucky and everytime I shampoo it, I get volume, but this time it just doesn't work.
I needed volume FAST in a hurry, and I had about 3 hours to get it before I had to go to someone's house.

So here's the guide to CHEAP, FAST Volume:

-TEASING
I think this is the best way, in the car even!

What you'll need:
-round bristle brush
-Some dry hair
-wide tooth comb

Try to work in sections and just TEASE hair all around.

Here is a really really cheap one I found at Walmart that does wonders:

Goody Style Tufted Round Brush

Take a strip of hair and pretty much insert the brush in there and move it back and forth. Pretty simple, but remember to first just dig it in there and then rub it back and forth. You'll see volume like right away!

-Voluming Mousse

If you can go for the expensive ones, go for it. But in my case, I'm a teen, and I'll tell you, from buying books, laptops, watches, earrings, jackets and everything, I don't really have much to spend on hair care and things from Sephora or things like that.

I went forrrr:

Suave Professionals Volumizing Foam Mousse

Suave has raised eyebrows recently, and it does do the trick...well for me! It's pretty cheap, about $2-3 at walmart.

Come right out from the shower and towel dry your hair throughly to make it damp. And then evenly apply this all throughout your hair making sure you get root to end. And then blow dry it evenly. Suave Pro also has some root lifters stuff to also give you additional boost.

Other MOUSSE that are also amazing:

volumizing mousse Dove Body & Bounce Volumizing Mousse 7 Ounces XXL VOLUME THICKENING MOUSSE Amplify Foam Volumizer

I hope this helps guys! I really really love the Garnier Fructis and the Matrix ones.
But I really really hope this helps guys!

And remember a healthy diet = healthy skin and healthy hair

:)
Take Care
and show that beautiful, confident smile of yours!

Vintage Hunt! How to shop VINTAGE

I'm a 90s baby!
And really 80s was the time when the style was amazing, when the punk and retro styles were in. But I LOVEE! The 80s! I love their style, their amazing happiness and dance during the time.

So, today we're gonna get vintage.

Everyone probably has some vintage jewelry or something here and there in their closets. To bandanna, leg warmers, miniskirts, bracelets, EVERYTHING!

Okay. So I don't shop at Aero and Abercrombie. I have no idea why, I just think, for some stupid reason, that their not my type. I shop at American Eagle and stuff like that. So, let me tell you if you shop at Hollister or places like that, or the VINTAGE HUNT, you need to ditch those places. And go.

And go.

To a THRIFT STORE.

You heard it. Loud and clear.
Thrift stores have amazing jewelery and things like that.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of thrift stores, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping at discount stores, like Gabriel Brothers, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory.

I love those stores to DEATH! I love going there, as well as Urban Outiftters, DEB, American Eagle, Express, Hot topic and I love Tommy Hilfiger! haha

But those discount stores have a wide variety of jewrely that are vintage, classic, modern, and retro.

I've been to NYC, and I've been in SOHO without realizing it! hahaahhahah! (the picture is from the web)
and in SOHO they have the most amazing stock of vintage jewelry and watches that I've EVER seen! it's amazing!

Here is a list of vintage things that you can hunt for..(well that's in my closet atleast ha ha ha):

-leg warmers
-bandanas (wrist)
-funky cool watches (cuff watches)
-necklaces/bracelets/earrings...jewelry
-shredded miniskirts (with leggings!)
-VANS (shoes)
-belts

here are some favroties that I found online that are SO similiar to the ones that I have:
