Natural Looking Lips

Want natural looking lips in a flash? Well, heres how to get it!

This is my classic lip makeup...it looks great with a smokey eye, nude eyes...or no makeup eyes...it doesn't matter. This look is gentle, soft, and beautiful...

I use the Jordana Lip Liner in Natural (22)

And no! I did not just go out there and pick a lipliner that said Natural...I have actually used this lipliner for about 4 years now...they are cheap, good pigments, and easy to apply!

( I got my lipliner at Walgreens...I'm not sure if they are sold anywhere else....And they are only $1 !!)

1) Take some foundation to "prime" your lips. This will make sure the lip color will last forever! This will also reveal the products TRUE color.

2) Now just outliner/define your lips with the lipliner. The lipliner is really important...this is the key to getting beautiful, defined lips...

3) Now, just dab a little bit on your bottom lip...for beautiful, natural lips with a bit of glam. I use the NYC lipstick in 301 CAFE (the Ultra Moist lipstick)

This is a wonderful lip highlighter...gorgeous!

And that's all! I hope you guys enjoyed this; and I hope it helped you!

All these ingredients are amazing for dry skin...because they all provide deep moisturizing properties!

How to make eyeliner last longer

Eyeliner is a "tool" that many women use. Pretty basic and easy to apply; but making it last? Not so much. So here are some tips to making your eyeliner stay on all day...even when you come home from work.

1) Apply a eyelid primer. You don't have to go and buy a specific primer. Just dab some foundation or concealer on your eyes (This will act as the primer). Then if you wish; just lightly powder it.

2) Apply your eyeliner. If there is a lot of humidity, try using a sweat proof or waterproof eyeliner.

3) IMPORTANT: This is the KEY to making eyeliner last much longer. Take some eyeshadow (same color as eyeliner) and just dab it on your eyeliner. Don't smear it or draw it in a line, just dab it.

Why does that work?

Remember when they say that when you use a cream product, you have to lock it in with powder (ex: foundation then powder). The same rule applies here...and so the eyeshadow will ensure that the eyeliner will stay on much longer.

4) Another really good way is to take some powder and apply it under your eye. This will help your eyeliner stay where it's supposed to be(:

And that's it! I hope this helps you guys!

How to make your lips look FULLER

Beautiful, full lips are a must with any makeup look...whether it be a nude look, smokey eye look, or a pin up look.

Here's how to get fuller lips:

1) The key to get full lips is a lip liner. A lip liner will make your lips look more defined, more sculpted, and more fuller.

** TIP: Try staying away from dark shades...they make your lips look smaller. Instead, head for a light shade.

2) Then try using a lipstick or some chapstick to make lips look fuller and moisturized.

**TIP: Try using a toothbrush, and exfoliate your lips with an olive oil and sugar scrub. This will make your lips softer, and add a temporary plump to your lips.

And that's it! Here is a simple rule:

-Think of pants. White pants make things look bigger; black pants make things look slimmer. Same thing with makeup; light shades will make things bigger; darker shades...mores slimmer.

Ta da! Hope this helps!

DIY Shelves/Nightstand

Need some extra "shelves" and maybe an extra "table" or "nightstand" in your room? Then look no more...we have a cheap, cute, solution for your room!

What you need:

-Locker Crates
-Acrylic Paint (optional)
-Table Cloth (optional) (or really any fabric)

The locker crates I suggest are kind of like this:

(This picture is not mine...it's from the internet. Thank You)

If you buy TWO of these, you can easily just stack them on each other.

There you have two shelves already...so stock them up!

I know that for some people, this might not be exactly "appealing" or "cute". Not to fear...we have other solutions.

1) Paint.

You can buy some ordinary acrylic paint, and paint your locker crates any color or design.

The locker crates I used for originally blue...and they did not match anything in my room at all. So I went ahead and just painted them purple to match everything.

If you love art, and are a good artist, you can also paint designs and things like that...to make it more personalized!

2) Table Cloth (or any fabric)

Or you can just get a table cloth, and simply put it on your locker crates (to cover the holes maybe?). It doesn't have to be a specific tablecloth, any fabric will work!

And there you go! Simple, quick, and you have two shelves AND a nightstand/super small table(:

Hope this helps!

Ace of the Face: Cheeks

Accenting your cheeks and cheekbones can give truly a gorgeous, radiant glow. So here is my Pretty Little version of the Allure's Best of Beauty List...minus all the expensive products.

These products are actual AFFORDABLE, DRUGSTORE brands that won't break the bank.

POWDER BLUSH:

Maybelline Fit Me Blush

It's your perfect, regular, everyday blush. Beautiful colors consist of colors that will fit anyone(:

CREAM BLUSH

NYC Blushable Creme Stick

Easy to apply, beautiful colors, and super quick to apply. These blush creme sticks are cheap too...their only $4. They have 6 colors; but they all suit every beautiful tone.

P.S. Need blush but don't have any? Well try taking your average red lipstick and just tap a teeennyy tiny bit on your cheeks. There you go..the same effect!

HIGHLIGHTER

Wet 'n Wild Mega-Glo Illuminating Powder

This amazing illuminating powder (highlighter) is great for your regular highlights at the cheekbones, brow bone, the nose, and the cupid's bow (upper lip). Amazing powder...at a price you can't beat(:

P.S. You can also use your regular eyeshadow for highlighting(:

FACIAL SELF- TANNER

Loreal Sublime Bronze Self - Tanning Lotion

I'll be honest to you guys...I'm not the best person to talk to about tanning. I actually have an olive - ish skin tone; so I don't tan at all (or use self tanning). However, my friend Lauren does; and she always uses this in the summer. So this one was all thanks to Lauren(:

And if you are looking for a "gradual" tan; try the Jergens Natural Glow lotions.

BRONZER

NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder

This has been really popular (several great ratings) and it gets a great rating from me (and Lauren! :D ) . It's pretty cheap compared to other brands; and it's your simple, basic bronzing powder that does it's job. Everyone's skin tone changes throughout the year; so you have 2 shades to keep your covered (: How awesome?

I hope this helps! (I know...this one was short!)

Here are some links:

Herbal Essences Body Envy Mousse Review

I recently brought the Herbal Essences Body Envy Mousse...and so let's review it!! (:

My Hair Type: I have straight (natural) hair. It's average (kind of thin)

Recommend it?

Yeah! It's pretty good! Naturally; I have average hair...not really limp; but it lacks volume; and I needed it to create a hairstyle.

How to use?

Just take some and apply it on your roots (make sure your hair is DAMP). Then take a round brush, and dry it in sections with a hairdryer (this gives more volume). But you can still dry it normally, of course.

Pros:

-works pretty well
-good smell

Cons:

-leaves hair slightly less soft

Rating?

I would give it about 4/5

Any other dish?

Question for YOU:

Do you think that applying the whole collection is more effective? (Do you think it will make a difference to use the shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and hairspray?). If you have used a whole collection; did it make a difference?

Things to do in SUMMER:

For a lot of people, summer equals pool, vacation, BBQ and just having fun. However for others; summer means staying at home and being boring. So to cancel that boredom, here is a list to do things that will make your summer unforgettable:

-Dance: your home alone, have music blasting, and you need to squeeze a workout here and there. So why not get up and DANCE? It's amazingly fun, and burns tons of calories!

-Make a BLOG: I know...sounds lame. But each of you has a talent, and something that you love to do. Why not share your knowledge with the rest of the world?

-Make Smores: Even if your inside; get some chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers; and invite friends over. It'll be like a camp inside(: Or of course you can take it by the fireplace

-Brush up on your studies: Super lame right? We all know that we forget A LOT of things during the summer. So why not practice some of that Algebra for atleast 10 minutes? What harm does it do? You'll have it in your mind, and get a headstart at school.

-Visit a museum: Your downtown has a lot of things you probably didn't realize you had. Grab some friends, and check the cool museums right across the street from you!

-Hit the park: Call some friends, and hit your park! You can play soccer, basketball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, or just sit and talk.

-Make some smoothies: It's hot and it's time to hydrate yourself! Google some healthy smoothie recipes and make them!

-Read the daily paper: Okay, so I know that a lot of people do this already. But for the ones who don't; it's a good habit...your knowledge will increase, and you will keep up the latest things going on.

-Volunteer: There are a lot of organizations around town that need volunteers. Go for it! You'll be helping out your community and feeling good about yourself!

-Make a scrapbook: For the ones that ended a great school year; why not put a scrapbook about your year, with pictures of friends and teacher? It'll be YOUR version of the yearbook.

-Make your own Jewelry: Buy some beads and others and make your own jewelry!

-Play a sport? PRACTICE: You have all day to do something. Why not spend it practicing your favorite sport?

-Play an instrument? PRACTICE: For 2 whole months, we just leave our instruments in that little corner. Don't! Pick it up and do daily practice to get a headstart the upcoming year!

-Follow your passion: If you are just waiting for that one day to transform your dream into reality; then you can't just sit on that couch. You have to stand strong...and do something about it! Right now!

I hope, now, you guys don't just sit around on the couch! Have fun and enjoy your summer!

Concealer or Foundation first?

Which one goes first? You've probably met people who do concealer first; and others foundation first. There's no exact right way...even professional makeup artists do it different ways!

Concealer before foundation:

Perfect for the people who don't need too much coverage. Use the concealer first to correct any areas that need to be corrected. Then, decide on how much foundation you need for added coverage.

Foundation before Concealer:

The foundation that is applied first will even out skin tone. After that; use concealer if you need more coverage. Perfect for the ones that need a little bit more coverage.

I hope you guys choose the way/method right for you! I hope this helps!
