Why do girls wear so much makeup?

That's what lot of people ask...especially guys who don't understand why that one girl at lunch or down the street looks like a oompa loompa everytime he sees her.

But that's not say that guys are the only ones saying this. You probably already know that there are many girls who always diss other girls by saying "wow, it seems like she put on a pound of makeup" or "b****, I can wipe 90% of your "beauty" with a wet tissue".

First off, if you are wearing a smokey eye with bright blush, with red lips. yes, that is way too much. And honestly, I would probably diss someone who wears that kind of look. It's cool for 'once in a while' thing, but if thats your everyday makeup routine...it probably would be better to tone it down just a bit. Like I said, I'm not a professional makeup artist...but thats not exactly "natural"...atleast in my book.

And also for the girls that are ivory or pale...and then apply a LOT of bronzer or tanning bronze on their face...please calm down with all that. If you do wanna look tanner, you can still use it, just make sure that your body color (neck, chest..etc.) match. Yeah, but no matter WHAT skin tone you are...just embrace it. It's who you are :)

Anyways, here is the basic reasons:

1) MAKEUP enhances natural beauty. well, if your wearing the right amount. Your beautiful cheekbones shine a little bit better. Your eyes look more awake. Your lips look more kissable.

2) IMPERFECTIONS. I know that nowadays, they say 'imperfections' are beautiful. and IT'S TRUE. IT IS. But we all know that the world doesn't work that way. I have a lot of acne scars, blemishes, and discoloration. One quick layer of foundation does the job pretty well. And truth be told, if I didn't wear that foundation, I would probably walk the school hallways with my head down. It gives me confidence, to keep my head up, and smile. It gives me confidence, I open up to people more, and it gives me more opportunities to smile.

The funny thing, is that all the girls that diss people with makeup, probably have perfect skin...or don't have acne everywhere. and that's the thing. they don't know what its like to have acne ALL OVER YOUR FACE. Or discoloration. or dark circles. So I'm just saying, if you have clear skin...or pretty much clear skin, and your dissin people that wear a lot of foundation/concealer...I'm just saying, you might not know what it feels like to have things all over your face.

But I do admit...sometimes I don't understand why people with already, 'no makeup' natural face have perfect skin...and they pile on like 3 layers of foundation. If you have pretty good skin already, don't use the foundation to cover it all up! Haha, your already so blessed with beautiful skin! Try using a little less to make you look more awake and glowing...but don't cover it all up (:

So yeah. I dunno...I just kinda felt like posting this one. just for some random reason i guess.

If your foundation is too light...

So you might have a moment when you THINK a foundation shade is your shade at the store; but once you bring it home and try it on...it ends up being TOO LIGHT....(even really light...to the point where it might make you look like a ghost !) haha nobody wants that for a natural look!

So here are some tips to get your natural skin tone...even if your foundation is too light:

1) The most common, is just to take some bronzer powder and just apply it over the foundation. This will help it darken it..and bring out your natural colors. There are many cheap bronzers that do the trick...like the NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzer.

2) If your foundation is REALLYY lighter than your normal skin tone, try taking some gel bronzer and adding a few drops into your foundation to make it darker.

STILL NOT DOING THE TRICK?

TRY THIS METHOD: http://tsorain.blogspot.com/2012/05/fix-foundation-thats-too-light.html

So those are just the nice, easy, quick fixes. Hope this helps!

HIGHLIGHTING TIPS AND TRICKS

Highlighting Boot Camp is in!

You guys see how this model has radiant cheekbones and the nose? And see how it just catches in the light?

Well...guess what? You can get that same supermodel look...real easy, and real fast!

What you're going to need:

-a brush
-CREAM highliter (without shimmer)
-powder (to set it in)

(try getting a highlighter without shimmer, because that ruins the whole 'maybe she's born with it' part :) it just ruins the 'maybe natural' look)

A great one is Pearl (or shell) from MAC:

Applying:

-Just take some in your fingers and gently pat it on your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.

-Then just squeeze your brush (into a flat angle) and dip it in the powder. Then just pat it where you applied your highlighter. This will help set it and make sure the look lasts :)

Anyways, hope this helps & take care!

FOUNDATION TIPS & TRICKS

Foundation Boot Camp is in!

Here are some PRO tips (I'm not a PRO, but these are from the internet) that I absolutely LOVE....and it works!

-There's 3 aspects to foundation:
-coverage
-finish
-undertone

Go to MAC cosmetics, and click on FOUNDATION, then click on the first one that finds it for you. It's expert tips!

good ones from the drugstore:
L'Oreal True Match Foundation, Soft Sable C6loreal true match maybelline

-NEVER EVER EVER wear foundation that is LIGHTER than your skin tone. You might think this is really stupid or w/e, but women do it! And I say DON'T do it! It doesn't blend in with your skin tone, and it gives off a weird..purple "glow"....which isn't a good thing.... haha

-Try to find foundation that is a little bit more YELLOWER than your skin tone.
Why you ask? Because, yellow is going to CANCEL out redness and give you a beautiful glow.

good ones from the 'expensive' end:

-Conceal in the right places! Hit your nose, upper lip, and chin with a yellow-based concealer. Those are the places were women get hormonal red there.

bobbi brown loreal concealer

-CONTOUR to give you a beautiful look. Take a chistle brush, and use a blush powder that is about 5-6 shades darker than you. Chistle it under your cheekbone, and fade to your hairline.

And a beautiful brush from PUR Minerals:

chisel foundation makeup brushes use this to chisel out those cheekbones!

I hope that you guys really like this!
Maybe we'll continue our series of "bootcamp 101"

Bye!
